Vanessa and Chris: Engagement Photos on The Plaza - Kansas City, MO

I can't say enough good things about Vanessa and Chris. Sometimes a person's sweet simplicity can be overwhelming! Vanessa and Chris have a love that is TOTALLY uncomplicated. And I love that.

Chris has this calming persona and you can see Vanessa melt just a little with every hug, kiss and hand squeeze. He adores her! When I first met Vanessa on a cold and rainy night, I instantly felt such a positive energy and openness about her! I had brought my online portfolio to look at, but then the place where were we meeting lost their internet connection. I panicked for a second but then she saw a few photo files on my lap top...

Some of them were just photos of my and my friends. Some were a few unorganized and unedited samples of weddings images I had shot. So I went with showing her that! When we were browsing the images, I couldn't help but reflect and relive some of those seconds in time that were frozen in the frame. I felt like Vanessa and I were old friends catching up on recent events as I shared about the moments and details. Though unorganized, it was fabulous. And as we said goodbye, everything felt sooo right in the world and I was happy :)

I'm absolutely thrilled to be their wedding photographer next Saturday, June 5 as they commit their lives to one another on the beautiful beaches of the Riviera Maya in the Yucatán Peninsula! Come Memorial Day, Paul and I will be taking in the Caribbean breezes, celebrating out 3 year wedding anniversary on June 2nd, and celebrating the marriage of Vanessa and Chris on June 5! WHAT A WEEK!
