Natalie & Jesse: Engagement Photography in Kansas City on The Plaza

OK. In my last post I talked about Destiny and Choice. Well, I really do feel like I should get PARTIAL credit for the wonderfulness that is Natalie and Jesse. Yes, yes I do! You see, I've known Jesse since I was 2 years old. We both grew up in central Illinois and I believe DESTINY brought us all together. My earliest memories of my life actually involve Jesse's family... chasing Jesse's brothers around in Sunday School, jumping off of bunk beds, making forts, 4th of July celebrations, dressing up as sheep in the Christmas program... Trust me, we go WAY back and you do NOT want to get me started on the stories because, internet land, we'd be here all day.

So... Fast-forward to 2010: Practically an entire CLAN of his family has moved to Kansas City now! (Seriously, like 20 people?!) Jesse's best friend moved to Kansas City from Illinois this past December to marry MY best friend, ( http://visionairestudios.blogspot.com/2009/05/shanon-tyler-engagement-ph... ) I photographed Jesse's brother's wedding this past summer ( http://claireryserblog.com/content/courtney-and-jeremy-wedding-photgraph... ) So of course I was THRILLED when Natalie and Jesse came and asked me to be their wedding photographer!!! I mean honestly, I'm practically RELATED to Natalie now!

But all joking aside. They're just meant to be. They're perfect for each other. That's what you find yourself saying after spending only a few minutes around these two amazing people. Natalie is always on his mind and Jesse is one of the most compassionate, considerate and thoughtful people I've ever met. Natalie's passion for life is totally obvious. She's like this steady force of energy who opens the door before opportunity has a chance to knock. you know what I mean?

I'm so excited for their wedding this spring! Jesse proposed to Natalie at her favorite event space: http://bergeventspace.com/ Berg Event Space in Kansas City, Missouri which is also where their wedding reception will be held!

We headed out a few days ago to the Country Club Plaza (http://www.countryclubplaza.com/ ) in Kansas City for their engagement photo session. I know I complain about being cold (I HATE being cold! Why don't I live on a beach somewhere warm?!) but really, it is a beautiful city with wonderful architecture and so many fountains it will make your head spin!
