Kansas City Wedding Photography at the Hilton President Hotel and The Redemptorist Church - Leslie and Danny!

I first met Leslie and Danny over skype! Their love even showed through the pixels on my iPad and their love story plays out like an romantic comedy -I'm not joking! She met him while he was walking a dog on a busy Chicago street. A horse walked by, startled the dog, and Leslie came by to make sure everything was alright! And as they say, the rest is history! Danny is a calm, handsome, low key, big picture kind of guy. Leslie is a brilliant, beautiful, and thoughtful woman with a plan, and really gets into all the details! From the times I've spent with them, there has totally been an ebb and flow to their relationship, with each one allowing the others strengths to shine through at just the right time ;) Their families were so warm and welcoming and by the end of the day, I felt like I was one of them! Danny's mother was also just an absolute sweetheart, and I kind of want to adopt her as another mom! I can't say enough good words about how fabulous these two families were to photograph and I feel lucky to have been the one to capture their wedding day!

Special thanks to an amazing team of wedding professionals who made Leslie and Danny's vision into a reality!

The ladies started their day off with mimosas at the Hilton President Hotel!
Danny's sister putting on finishing touches...
The bride's sister helping out!
The gorgeous bride, Leslie!
Fun Fact! Just a few minutes before this photo was taken, there was a parade of bagpipes marching down this street...
All the lovely ladies!

We had some pretty strong winds that day! It made for some dramatic photos though! I love that she wore this long veil - It was her "something borrowed" from her sister!
As I headed up to meet the guys, the elevator door opened... This was my view! Father of the groom!
Danny and his brothers!
Look'n good!
The guys wanted to pay an homage to their grandfather with his favorite drink... Gin & Tonic
Leslie and her father!
Leslie was such a classically beautiful bride!
Mother and son! I love Danny's mom so much! She lives in AZ, but I hope we can meet again soon!
Momma and her men!
So, I have so many photos of Leslie coming down the aisle. She was so sweet and really teared up, and I think I'll save those photos for her to view in her private gallery! For the blog, I did get this huge smile and I love it!
The Redemptorist / Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church is one of the most beautiful parishes in the city! Kansas City has some amazing architecture!
My grandmother passed on just two weeks ago, and I attended her service the same week as Leslie and Danny's wedding. So, seeing Leslie with her sweet grandmother really touched my heart. I overheard her say to Danny, "You just take good care of my granddaughter!" - with a laugh, of course. Leslie said, "Oh, he already does! He does so much!".
They chose to exit to the sound of bells ringing! How perfect!
Just a few of the amazing reception details...
We arrived at the President Hotel about 3 minutes before the storm blew through and were able to snap their only photo request: A photo with their classic car! I'm so glad we made it in time to take these timeless photos!
The wedding party each entered with their own "signature" style, but I think these two win!
Leslie's wonderful parents in the background! Something about this photo just moved me.
Sweetest cake cutting ever...
So many tears and laughs during the toasts!
Danny and Leslie practiced and performed the perfect dance...
Danny's father and sister had some moves!
Ah. The jacket is OFF, people. The party can start now!
Such a perfect day, even with the dramatic storm (we were under a tornado watch for part of the reception!) - it was all around a PERFECT day! I can't wait to share all of the photos with Leslie and Danny! It was about impossible to narrow this blog post down to under 50 photos! Thank you both so much for including me on such a special day! Big hugs, CONGRATS, and have an amazing time enjoying all Europe has to offer! Stay fab! XoXo -Claire
